ThrowLab practice guide
How to read your ThrowLab flight analysis
Review estimated speed, disc angle, and early-flight path, then compare your throw with recent readings from the same setup.
Read the saved range
The range runs from your lowest to your highest saved reading for the same disc, throwing style, and intended line. It includes the current throw. The difference from average compares the current throw with earlier readings.
Speed
Speed is estimated in mph or km/h. Use recent averages and the range of your recorded throws to put a single reading in context.
Disc angle
Disc angle is shown in whole degrees, with a Flat, Hyzer, or Anhyzer label. In Trends, angles below −8° indicate anhyzer and angles above +8° indicate hyzer. Readings from −8° through +8° are labeled Flat.
Early-flight path
The path reading describes whether the disc travels downward, level, or upward in early flight. It is separate from the disc’s tilt.
Compare like with like
Keep camera placement, lighting, and recording setup consistent. Compare throws made with the same disc, throwing style, and intended line.
Distance and records
Distance tracking measures from where you threw to where the disc stopped. Milestones brings together your farthest recorded distances and fastest recorded speeds.
Analysis and Compare
Flight analysis uses your recorded throw. Compare estimates flight paths from manufacturer flight ratings; those paths are not measured from your video.
